Problem w file replacement |
Hi,
Haven't used the archive in some time, so not sure if this is right place to ask.
I tried to replace a bad file under
http://www.archive.org/details/tfret2009-08-21.flacand it appears I got a checksum error when it rederived. I had replaced the original ffp file with a new one with the correct checksum info for the new file, but it still apparently failed. The file in replaced was:
tfret2009-08-21d2t02.flac

The system doesn't check the ffp, it checks the md5. If you don't upload an md5, the system creates one for you, so if you replace a file you need to delete the md5 and then rederive.
Go to edit item > change files and delete the md5, then edit item > change the information > item manager > derive.

Sorry, I'm still confused, I guess. Just did what you recommended and got a message that there was a derivation already in progress. When I go to the uncompleted tasks link, I still see the log from my last attempt about an hour ago?

Hm. Used to be that you were allowed to kick off another derive task but that may not be the case now. I'll take care of it. :)

Re: Problem w file replacement |
Thank you most kindly, sir.
BTW, as I said, I haven't used the archive recently. I really like the new stuff for uploading. ftp always gave me headaches of one kind or another.
